Cambridge Wide Open Week 2026

Cambridge CardioMatrix participated in Cambridge Wide Open Week 2026, exhibiting at the Allia Future Business Centre as part of the annual celebration of Cambridge's vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship community.

During the event, the Cambridge CardioMatrix team introduced its pioneering closed-loop, non-blood-contact cardiac support platform, showcasing a novel approach to the treatment and management of advanced heart failure. The company's innovative Advanced Soft Robotics Device (ASD) technology platform integrates soft robotic cardiac assistance with real-time physiological monitoring, with the ambition of providing safer, more personalised treatment while avoiding direct blood contact.

Designed to support the heart from its outer surface, the epicardial platform represents a new generation of cardiac support technology. In addition to providing mechanical assistance, the platform has the potential to enable continuous physiological monitoring, future therapy optimisation, and targeted delivery of drugs or biologics, supporting the future of precision cardiovascular medicine.

Throughout the exhibition, the team welcomed entrepreneurs, researchers, clinicians, investors, and members of the local innovation community to discuss the technology and Cambridge CardioMatrix's vision for improving outcomes for patients living with advanced heart failure.
